Earnshaw State School takes pride in promoting excellence across all areas of education. Their new sports hall designed by the THELANDER offers the advantages of a smart environmental and cost effective design to carter to all of the school’s needs.
Orientation was key to optimise lighting and natural ventilation: the new hall is built due north, with excellent natural lighting and great connection to the existing external sports fields.
The resulting design of the sports hall boats a large 115 m2 covered sports court catering to multiple types of play and an accessible hardwood timber stage for performances.
Additional services complete the facility with a kiosk that connects to both the court and the outdoors for school events. Change rooms, accessible amenities, gym and kitchen complement the sports hall services.
