Thelander Architecture & Interiors’ main challenge when designing our client's home renovation and extension was to preserve the essence of the original home while updating this Camp Hill house for contemporary living.

As a result the design demonstrates restraint with a careful balance between the old and new: crisp volumes for the additions contrast with the original house, which retains its character through a harmonious use of materials and colours throughout. 

To further celebrate the Queensland climate, open and flowing spaces lead to an outdoor entertainment deck adjacent to the pool and garden, thus blurring the boundaries between outdoor and indoor living.
